A Perfect Day

Ever had one of those perfect days? They are so rare and impossible to catch. You can’t hunt ‘em. You gotta sit and wait sneaky-like. Like you’re fishing. The prey has to come to you.

Well I had one of those days. I was sitting at my house trying to write when it finally snuck up next to me and I caught it by the whiskers and wouldn’t let go, NOPE!

It was Saturday and usually we go to church. But the house was empty and it was just me and Mom. Plus we were hungry. We did the right thing, rolled over in bed and had a quick Bible study/heart to heart. It was awesome but then our stomachs were like little tigers so we dressed and moved right on in to brunch at this kickin Thai restaurant. We always seem to end up at Thai when its just me and mom. Goodness… the chicken was all I could think about. Then we hit up BN. But that’s not even the good part. I’ve been trying to get my mom to go to the Philadelphia Museum of Art for AGES it seams. And just like a good day would have it I just had to wait real sneaky like till the moment arrived and I could make it happen.

Mom was in such a good mood. She’d had a great Friday night. Her meal was satisfactory, and we had a full tank of gas and a solid day of nothing to tend to. When I brought it up it was like putting a cherry on top of an Ice cream adventure. She’s was up for it and so was I.

But we had taken so much time chillin at BN that we had less than 2 hours to make our way through the museum. We got stuck and spent the bulk of our time in the Impressionist period. I’m swooning now just thinking about it. You know, Art Histroy class stuck with me because I was able to show mom around the galleries and explain bla-da-bla about the paintings.

The night ended with wine and Love Actually, the movie. So, if you haven’t had a perfect day in quite some time. Have no fear cuz it’ll come. Just wait sneaky-like and you’ll feel it fluttering right next to you and then you’ve got it, like the patient little hunter you are.

I’m in urban camouflage, lurking round corners like an 80’s cop movie waiting for mine.
